Ayasa Afi is a Philadelphia-born wardrobe stylist and fashion designer with over 20 years of experience creating compelling visual narratives through fashion. Rooted in Liberian/Ghanaian and African American heritage, her work is informed by a global perspective and a deep respect for craftsmanship, culture, and storytelling.

Introduced to garment construction at an early age by her mother and grandmother—both seamstresses—Ayasa Afi designed her first garment at age 12 and has been immersed in fashion ever since. A graduate of The Philadelphia School for the Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA), she developed a strong foundation in both technical skill and creative intuition.

Ayasa Afi has worked at major fashion brands, expanding her expertise across high fashion, ready-to-wear, and brand-driven storytelling. She constructs her own designs and has styled clients for major awards shows including the Grammys and NAACP Image Awards, as well as weddings, galas, editorial shoots, and high-profile campaigns.

In addition to her industry work, Ayasa Afi serves as an Instructor and Extension Specialist in Fashion Design and Merchandising at a local University, where she bridges fashion education, sustainability, and community engagement. Her skill set spans wardrobe styling, textiles, trend forecasting, e-commerce, apparel production, food and prop styling, and studio production. Known for her collaborative approach, attention to detail, and ability to execute under pressure, Ayasa Afi brings intention, precision, and impact to every project.
